There's no better way to mark a milestone birthday. Tawse Winery in Vineland, founded in 2001 and celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, was named Winery of the Year at the 2026 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada.
Its wines brought home 1 platinum, 4 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze medals at the National Wine Awards of Canada.

- Bachelder, fifth
- The Organized Crime, sixth
- Malivoire, 12th
- Hidden Bench, 14th
- Queenston Mile, 15th
- Palatine Hills, 16th
- Peller Estates, 19th
- Domaine Queylus, 20th
- Stratus, 25th
Black Bank Hill, in the Lincoln Lakeshore appellation, was also named Best Performing Small Winery, a category for producers of 10,000 cases a year or fewer.
Raise a glass this fall
Autumn is harvest season in wine country, and a good time to visit Tawse Winery. Its 25th-anniversary year is a fine excuse to taste the wines behind the Winery of the Year award.
